What is the Conservation Tree and Shrub Sale?
Each year the Jefferson SWCD holds the Conservation Tree and Shrub Sale.
In this there are approximately 16,000 trees and shrubs sold to various
people at low costs.
Do you have to live in Jefferson County to participate in the
Conservation Tree and Shrub Sale?
No, we generally have many people from the surrounding counties.
When does the Conservation Tree and Shrub Sale take place?
The sale goes from January to March, and the trees will be picked up on
April 20, 2007. Be watching for information in the next newsletters that
will come out in September and December.
Where does the Conservation Tree and Shrub Sale take place?
All ordering takes place at our office at 3682 E 300 N in Rigby, either
by stopping in or mailing. The trees will be picked up at the Jefferson
County Fair Grounds in the Livestock Show area.
Why?
The main goal in this project is to help farmers or others interested
establish quality windbreaks. However, many trees are sold for just
landscaping projects only.
